Have greater representation of people from all backgrounds in BC’s Public Service

BC’s public service includes boards and commissions. It is important that these decision-making bodies reflect the communities they serve. When the leadership of an organization doesn’t represent the diversity of its members, it results in ineffective policies and in many cases, cause harm and increases the barrier to accessing 

Beyond Representation recognizes that while the BC government has taken some steps towards addressing this, more needs to be done.  We will continue to advocate and work with all stakeholders to ensure all voices are heard in these important decision making bodies.
